Indonesian Ambassador to Sri Lanka HE Dewi Gustina Tobing visited University of Ruhuna.
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ruhuna Senior Professor Sujeewa Amarasena received Her Excellency Dewi Gustina Tobing, the Indonesian Ambassador to Srilanka on 31st of October 2022. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr. Heru Prayitno, Head of Chancery at the Embassy of Republic of Indonesia.
This courtesy visit of the Ambassador was graced by the Registrar, Mrs. P.S. Kalugama the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies Snr. Prof. D.A.L. Leelamanie, Dean of the Faculty of FMST, Prof.Asoka Deepanada, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof.Hemali Munasinghe, Dr.Tharaka R. Wijesundara, Director (Acting) Center for International Affairs Mrs. Nisansala Wickramasinghe, Assistant Registrar (Acting), Center for International Affairs.
The Vice Chancellor and the Ambassador discussed the close relationship between Sri Lanka and Indonesia. Possible future collaborations including research and academic exchange were also discussed at the meeting.
Having met with the Vice Chancellor HE Ambassador Dewi Gustina Tobing planted a “Kumbuk” tree at the University premises Commemorating her visit followed by a sightseeing tour of the University of Ruhuna.
